During fabrication the stone tragically broke. I debated whether to highlight or hide the fracture. I decided to try to the Kintsugi technique. A Japanese philosophy that treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
With that in mind I did add some gold pigment to the fracture line. It created a subtle hint of gold that I hope you find as lovely as I did.
